- Description
- Eddy De Clercq is a Belgian-Dutch DJ and producer and one of the pioneers of Dutch dance culture. Since the late 1970s De Clercq organized parties in Amsterdam and he was one of the founders, co-owners and creative director of the famous Amsterdam club Roxy, that opened its door in 1987. He programmed new forms of music that were emerging at that time, such as electro, Detroit techno and acid house, and was instrumental in the breakthrough of EDM in the Netherlands.
