Contribute to the Archive

We invite you to contribute to this free online archive on cultures, histories, activities, and spaces related to drugs. The Narcotic City Archive aims to collect and preserve the heritage of substance use and  many associated social, cultural, economic, and political issues.

Existing contributions address a range of themes related to drug consumption, with a primary focus on European cities in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Examples include activism, regulation, stigmatization and marginalization, open drug scenes, everyday spaces, party practices and gender, and urban drug tourism. Some of these Items are organized into Collections exploring topics such as the freetown of Christiania in Copenhagen,  Emotional Mapping interviews from Frankfurt, Berlin, Nuremberg, Munich and Bordeaux with marginalized drug users, or Dope Magazines from Rotterdam.

Help us expand the Archive with further perspectives!
